About Us

Old Chiangmai
Old Chiangmai Cultural Center has a rich history that dates back to 1971. The founder, Khun Oon Chutima, had a passion for preserving the traditional Lanna culture of the northern region of Thailand. He wanted to share the beauty and richness of the Lanna culture with both locals and visitors alike. To do this, he established Old Chiangmai Cultural Center, which has since become one of the most prominent cultural centers in Chiang Mai.
Over the years, the center has become a hub for traditional Lanna cultural performances, music, and dance. It has also served as a venue for various events and festivals that celebrate the diverse cultural heritage of Thailand. With a focus on preserving and sharing traditional culture, Old Chiangmai Cultural Center has become a beacon for both locals and visitors who are looking to immerse themselves in the vibrant Lanna culture of the region.
The center has expanded its offerings over the years to include various services, such as catering, weddings, and meeting facilities, while still maintaining a strong focus on cultural preservation. With a team of dedicated professionals, the center is committed to delivering the best possible experience to its customers, whether they are attending a traditional dance performance, planning a wedding, or hosting a conference.

Our Story
Since its establishment in 1971, Old Chiangmai Cultural Center has been dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Northern Thailand. Founded by Khun Oon Chutima, the center started as a humble venue for the traditional Khantoke Dinner, a northern-style dining experience accompanied by live folk music and dance performances. Over the years, Old Chiangmai has expanded its offerings to include a wide range of cultural shows, musical performances, and special events. Today, the center continues to be a hub for the preservation and celebration of Northern Thailand’s unique identity and traditions.
